The New Mexico Athletic Youth Wrestling Club
The New Mexico Athletic Youth Wrestling Club (NMAYW) is dedicated to serving the community of New Mexico with all of their wrestling needs. We are a non-profit organization that dedicates itself to helping youth grow and develop through the wonderful sport of wrestling.
Our Mission
NMAYW is an organization made of volunteers and members who are coaches, parents, former champions and incredible mentors that are dedicated to the sport of wrestling. We are committed to see that our children are trained by dedicated coaches that foster an environment that emphasize athletic excellence, physical and mental discipline, self-esteem, leadership and sportsmanship. We believe this commitment is essential in order for each athlete to reach their full potential.
NMAYW Goals
The New Mexico Athletic Youth Wrestling Club believes in setting goals for ourselves as an organization and for the youth participating in the great sport of wrestling. These goals include:
- Encouraging the pursuit of achieving both individual and team goals.
- Promoting sportsmanship.
- Teaching ourselves and most importantly, our youth, how to show respect for individuals, including teammates and competitors alike.
- Developing core offensive and defensive tactics that will help expose our youth to the college level.
- Providing a fun and winning environment for all competitors.
- Learning and teaching discipline under the concept of T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More).
- Dream-building: “Without dreams, there is no reality.”
- Creating a new and bright direction for New Mexico youth wrestling.
As our organization continues to grow, our rules and guidelines may change in order to reflect our mission statement better. The director of NMAYWC will communicate with all coaches regarding changes or updates that need to be made to meet our organizations needs.

The New Mexico Athletic Youth Wrestling Club believes in fostering our youth’s desire to be active, become leaders and achieve their athletic potential. Our organization is dedicated in making New Mexico an elite state for wrestling and works hard as a community to provide a safe, inclusive environment that support wrestling of all levels.
